“we should carry them with us as we
journeyed.”
-if taken
as a parable, do we “carry them (the scriptures) with us” as we take on life’s
challenges? We should refer to them
often using them as a support, guide and source of strength. We take notice of carrying with us our
drivers license, our credit cards and other temporal things;
we pay much attention to make sure our checking accounts
are managed, our insurance and bills are paid… do we spend as much energy and
time (on a day to day basis) assuring that our spiritual well being is in line?
