1 Nephi 2 (overview notes)

-during the time of these experiences, Nephi would probably have been in his mid-teens.

-We already know one of the main themes of this chapter –Nephi already told us (i.e. 1:20  “I Nephi will show unto you that…”)  These experiences –the ones in chapter 2- are to show us what he said he would show, namely “that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even…”
